Tenth Station

JESUS IS STRIPPED OF HIS GARMENTS

Artist: Sr. Benedicta Ha, CDP

In this station we’re faced with the realities and pain of the total loss, the total unmasking of self. Some of us spend a lifetime in creating a public persona, only to have life’s circumstances strip us of it. When that happens it is a call to the stark truth of humility.

There is a kind of freedom that comes with the unmasking of self.

Before whom are you willing to be totally vulnerable?

As an Easter person, what masks bring you liberation and new life?

  1. We talked about this after supper. Sometimes we choose to be vulnerable because we feel safe. But other times we put on the mask to seem strong, heathy, or in control. We are grateful that we have each other to share our vulnerability.
